Don’t Forget the Lyrics – ’80s Style

Attention ’80s Music Fans

Time for a new segment! I could use your help though, so please don’t be shy about your input.

Each weekday, I will give the lyrics to the song. There are 3 options that I’m thinking of.

1. I could list the lyrics, and you can name the song and artist

2. I could give the song and artist , and some of the lyrics, then you can finish the line. Kind of similar to Don’t Forget the Lyrics.

3. I could give some of the lyrics, then you can give the rest of the line, and give the song and artist.

Here are the examples I have in mind (these should be pretty easy to start). You can go ahead and answer these:

Love is like a bomb, baby, c’mon get it on
Livin’ like a lover with a radar phone
Lookin’ like a tramp, like a video vamp
Demolition woman, can I be your man?

Tell Her About It by Billy Joel

Tell her about it, tell her everything you feel
Give her every reason to accept that you’re for real
Tell her about it, tell her ___ ____ _____ ______

Just a small town girl, livin’ in a lonely world
She took the midnight train goin’ anywhere
Just a city boy, ____ ___ _______ __ _____ _______

So, which format do you like better? And let me know if you have an ideas of what this segment should be named.

You can either leave a comment, answer the poll (anonymously), or both.

  1. Perhaps it’s that selfish side of me…liking to have it all…but why can’t you use all the formats? Mix them us and keep us on our toes?

    1. I like that idea! See, that’s why I put the question out there! 😀 I was thinking of doing all three all the time, but I just don’t have the time. But, I do like the idea of mixing it up. That hadn’t crossed my mind. You rock!!

  2. How about naming it something like Remember that song? I think it’s a great idea. I like #3 but mixing it up would be a good idea as well. I agree with JimV.
