Return the song and artist:
I’m a man without conviction
I’m a man who doesn’t know
How to sell a contradiction
You come and go, you come and go
Yesterday’s: “Who’s Johnny” by El Debarge (from the movie Short Circuit, which starred Ally Sheedy who turned 49 yesterday):
I tried to understand because I’m people too
And playing games is part of human nature
My heart’s in overdrive, it’s great to be alive
“Karma” Chameleon by Culture Club. And you owe me for getting that song stuck in my head now…
In fact, you owe me twice. I liked El DeBarge, but not “Who’s Johnny?” The movie wasn’t too bad, though.
Here you go, in honor of Marla Gibbs’ 80th birthday:

It was Boy George’s 50th birthday today, so I couldn’t not put Culture Club on here (against my better judgement). I didn’t know which poison to pick. I was going to go with Church of the Poison Mind, but I went with the “popular” choice.
And that’s funny, I have the opposite attitude of you about El Debarge. I couldn’t stand him, but “Who’s Johnny” is the only song by him that I liked.
“I’ll Tumble 4 Ya” would have been the best choice. But all is forgiven after playing the Jeffersons clip. 🙂
