30 Day Song Challenge: Day 18 – A Song That You Wish You Heard On the Radio

“Don’t Start Thinking (I’m Alone Tonight)” by Night Ranger

This was an extremely tough one! There are so many choices. I’ll have to do a top 10 list for this.
But for now, I will pick one of my favorite songs from one of the most underrated albums of the ’80s – “Don’t Start Thinking (I’m Alone Tonight)” from Night Ranger’s 1988 Man In Motion.

  1. A Top Ten list is a great idea! Hopefully some station will read it and start playing the songs. As much as I love 80s music, I can only hear so much of the same heavy-rotation hits as the years go on. Expand the playlists!

Speaking of expanding…whenever you hear that Shalamar’s coming on, you know that means they’re going to play “Dancing In The Sheets.” What they should be playing instead is “Dead Giveaway.”

  2. Good one, Jim! “Dancing in the Sheets” was one of those songs that I couldn’t stand when I first heard it. It was about the only song that I didn’t like on the Footloose soundtrack. But, it eventually grew on me. I like this song that you just posted. I had never heard it before. It sounds like something that could be on a Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack or something. I like it. Thanks for posting!
