“Living in a Box” by Living in a Box
“Living in a Box” by Living in a Box from the album Living in a Box, was released in 1987. Somebody was obsessed with living in a box! Living in a Box (the band) was formed in England in 1985. They released their self-titled debut album in 1987. The song “Living in a Box” was a big hit in the U.K. reaching #5 on those charts. It turned out to be their only hit song in the U.S., peaking at #17 on August 22, 1987.
They had a little more success in their home country, scoring a couple of hits from their 1989 follow-up album, Gatecrashing – “Blow the House Down” (which featured Queen’s Brian May on guitar) and “Room in Your Heart“.
The band broke up in 1990 due to artistic differences.
So, everybody pick up your cardboard box, and Return to 1987:
This song isn’t as bad as I thought. I had confused the tune with some other song in my head. Thanks for setting me straight by playing this video.

Ah, I was so little back in 1990 when Room In Your Heart was out. Gorgeous it was, as was the singer. Wonder how he looks now? Are they still around now?
