Great job Kickin’ it Old School (@oldschool80s)!!
King Kong Lives was the sequel to King Kong, as it take splace 10 years after Kong shot down from the World Trade Center. He was kept in a coma under the care of Linda Hamilton’s Dr. Amy Franklin. In order to save Kong’s life, Dr. Franklin must perform a heart transplant and give Kong a computer-monitored artificial heart. However, he lost so much blood that a transfusion is badly needed.
So, bring in Lady Kong! She was brought in to provide the blood. The transfusion was a success. However, the two giant apes escape, and chaos ensues.
King Kong Lives turned out to be a giant flop, only grossing $4.7 million during its theatrical run.
