The Emperor: Everything that has transpired has done so according to my design. Your friends, up there on the sanctuary moon, are walking into a trap, as is your Rebel fleet. It was *I* who allowed the Alliance to know the location of the shield generator. It is quite safe from your pitiful little band. An entire legion of my best troops awaits them. Oh, I’m afraid the deflector shield will be quite operational when your friends arrive.

Happy Birthday to the emperor. I was so interested in who played the emperor that I wrote a blog about Ian Ian McDiarmid a few years ago, so I could learn more about him, outside of the Star Wars universe.

He seems like he is also a great actor outside of Star Wars.
I don’t know if you ever watched The Clone Wars tv series, but an Ian voiced the emporer in that one – Ian Abercrombie. He was great as well. Unfortunately he passed away before the show wrapped up.
