“Summer Nights” by Van Halen
My favorite song changes daily, so I honestly can’t remember what my favorite song was a year ago. But since it is still summer, it’s a pretty safe bet that it could have been this song:

Follow @returntothe80sWhoa! I set the time machine too far back! Sorry, I couldn’t help myself. Let’s jump back into the ’80s. I’ll pick a song from my first cassette – “Tomorrow” from Unmasked by Kiss was one of my favorites:
The only time you should feel guilty is if you did something illegal or immoral. I can’t think of anything off the top of my head, but I would probably feel guilty if I got caught “Breaking the Law”:
Follow @returntothe80sSpecifically, I would love to play the horn section at the end of the song. I would totally go ballistic at the end of it, and go off on a horn solo the equivalent of an Eddie Van Halen guitar solo.
Follow @returntothe80sOK, so I cheated! As much as I love music, I don’t know how to play any instruments. I could sing this song pretty good though, and I know how to snap my fingers, so that counts doesn’t it?
Follow @returntothe80sThis was the first “Weird Al” song I ever heard, and it this parody of “Another One Bites the Dust” stands the test of time.
Follow @returntothe80sNo wedding is official until this song is played. I am already married, and yes, this song was played at our wedding.
Follow @returntothe80sA sad song, which is made even more heartbreaking at the end of the movie The Last American Virgin. I have a soft spot for lite songs that were featured in movies from the late ’70s/early ’80s.
Here is the ending of The Last American Virgin. Here’s some background. Gary has a crush on this girl Karen. However, his friend Rick gets Karen pregnant after having sex only once. Rick ended up leaving Karen. Gary decides to help Karen pay for her abortion by selling most of his possessions and borrowing money from his boss. After the abortion, Gary and Karen spend the remainder of the weekend alone together in Gary’s grandmother’s house. Whilst nursing her back to health, Gary tells Karen that he sincerely loves her. Karen appears to be reciprocal and they both share a tender kiss. Later, Karen invites Gary to her 18th birthday party the following week. Gary scrapes up a few more dollars and buys Karen a gold locket for her birthday.
However, here is what happens when Gary arrives at the party:
