When Tom Hanson was in high school, his father was shot in the line of duty, on Valentine’s Day, and died in the hospital. Tom was at a school dance and his father was supposed to come to drive Tom and his date home. Instead, two other members of the police force arrived to tell Tom what had happened.

21 Jump Street starred Johnny Depp, who would go on to be one of the most well known actors of his generation. But when the spinoff was created, they based it on Richard Grieco’s character, Dennis Booker.

Booker only lasted one season – September 24, 1989 to May 6, 1990. It ran alongside season 4 of 21 Jump Street.
