Sadly, Andrew Koenig’s body was found on Thursday. “Our son took his own life,” Walter Koenig told reporters at a news conference. Walter said that he and Andrew’s friends were going through Stanley Park in Vancouver. Around noon, a friend found Andrew’s body.
During the press conference, Walter pleaded with people who may be similarly depressed not to ignore the illness and to seek help.

Andrew Koenig, know for playing Richard “Boner” Stabone, has been reported missing by his father Walter Koenig (Star Trek’s Pavel Chekov). A police statement said “Andrew has recently been despondent and his family and friends are concerned for his well-being”. Apparently, Andrew missed a flight home to Los Angeles from Vancouver. was last seen on Valentine’s Day at a bakery in Vancouver.
As of this morning, E! Online has reported that Vancouver investigators are “hopeful” he’s out there and he’s alive. There has been a lot of tips coming in, and they are being investigated.
