Remember That Song – 2/17/21

Can you name the artist and song:

Toe to toe
Dancing very close
Barely breathing
Almost comatose

Last Song: “Tarzan Boy” by Baltimora from Living in The Background (1986)

Take a chance
Leave everything behind you
Come and join me, won’t be sorry
It’s easy to survive

Can you name the artist and song:

Will you meet him on the main line, or will you catch him on the rebound?
Will you marry for the money, take a lover in the afternoon?

Great job Andy (@andytorah)!!!

Hide and seek
I play along while rushing cross the forest
Monkey business on a sunny afternoon

One Hit Wonders of the ’80s: 1986 – Baltimora

“Tarzan Boy” by Baltimora

Let the ear-worm commence! “Tarzan Boy” was Italian group, Baltimora’s, debut single, which came off of their 1985 album Living in the Background. The song was very successful in the U.S., where it stated on the charts for 6 months, peaking at #13 on March 1, 1986. “Tarzan Boy” found its greatest success in France, where it topped the chart for five consecutive weeks.

Baltimora followed up in 1987 with a second album, Survivor in Love, but the single “Key Key Karimba” was the only notable track that managed to enter the Top 100 charts in only a few countries. After that, no record labels wanted to pick up the group, so they disbanded.
